• Osuna Named Rookie of the Year (oursportscentral.com) — A Mauldin native just earned one of independent baseball's top honors, as first baseman Alberto Osuna was named the American Association's Rookie Position Player of the Year. Osuna grew up in Mauldin, starred at Mauldin High School, and built on that success with a powerful season for the Sioux City Explorers that showcased both his bat and steady defense.
