• Mauldin's Butler Road improvement project delayed: City Council notes (greenvillejournal.com) — Mauldin's long-awaited Butler Road overhaul has been pushed back at least a year after state transportation officials rejected over-budget bids and plan to rebid the work in 2027. The 1.7‑mile project would add sidewalks, paths, medians, turn lanes, and new bridges, while City Council also voted to allocate a $2.9 million surplus to capital projects, transportation improvements, and staff merit pay.
   

• 2026 Tax Sales (greenvillejournal.com) — Mauldin property owners with delinquent taxes are among those affected by Greenville County's 2026 tax sale, set for October 19–20 at the Greenville Convention Center. Real estate and mobile homes from Mauldin and neighboring cities will be auctioned for unpaid taxes, with bids handled by the Tax Collector on behalf of the Forfeited Land Commission.
