• GCSO: Investigation reveals workers in Upstate performing sex acts for money, place to live (wyff4.com) — Mauldin residents are at the center of a major human trafficking investigation involving several local massage businesses, including Tokyo Spa and Ocean Breeze Massage on West Pointe Boulevard, West Georgia Road, and North Main Street. Police say workers were underpaid, unlicensed, and forced to live in the parlors, leading to multiple trafficking and prostitution charges after a joint operation with Greenville County and other agencies.
   

• Upstate bridge death ruled suicide, prompts mental health discussions (wyff4.com) — A man was found dead on a bridge over I-185 and I-385 near Mauldin and Simpsonville, and the Greenville County Coroner has ruled his death a suicide. Local mental health advocates are using the tragedy to highlight South Carolina's higher-than-average suicide rates and to remind residents that the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline offers free, anonymous help around the clock.
