• Mauldin soldier named U.S. Army Reserve Drill Sergeant of the Year (foxcarolina.com) — A Mauldin native, Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Harrington, has been named the U.S. Army Reserve's Drill Sergeant of the Year after a grueling 72-hour competition at Fort Jackson. He credits his Mauldin roots, Greenville Tech education, and early drill sergeants for shaping his leadership, and now trains future drill sergeants in Columbia while working to improve the program.
