• Mauldin soldier named U.S. Army Reserve Drill Sergeant of the Year (foxcarolina.com) — A Mauldin native, Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Harrington, has been named the U.S. Army Reserve's Drill Sergeant of the Year after grueling testing at Fort Jackson. He credits his Mauldin roots, early drill sergeants, and years of preparation for the honor, and now trains future drill sergeants in Columbia while working to improve the program for those who follow.
