MOUNT PLEASANT, SC -- Bright and beautiful teens and misses are invited to compete in the 2014 Miss Mount Pleasant Teen and Miss Mount Pleasant Scholarship Pageants. Last year’s Miss Mount Pleasant Brooke Mosteller became the first young woman from our town to be crowned Miss South Carolina. She represented Mount Pleasant and our state on the Miss America stage. This year’s winner could follow in her footsteps.
Contestants are encouraged to participate in the 2014 pageant – themed “Shall We Dance” --, to be held on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the G.M. Darby Building in Mount Pleasant. Teen contestants must be ages 13-17 years old and in 8th to 11th grade. Miss contestants can be 17-23 years old. The deadline to register is Sunday, Feb. 16 by 8 p.m.; mailed entries must be postmarked by Feb. 15.
