America...237 years of hopes, dream, challenges, and vision. Our incredible country, the dream that so many others have tried to emulate, founded on the hope and vision for an independent society, the ideal that so many have given their lives for, has got some age on her. She has deep wrinkles and a couple of warts but she is still solid. Let us forever remember this, my friends...in the famous words of President Michael Douglas in The American President, "America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause its gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifttime opposing at the top of yours." Make some memories today ya'll and celebrate your good fortune to be part of such an amazing country because at the end of the day, we are all Americans and we still have work to do!
