
Charleston, SC – February 11, 2013 – Au Pair Care, an au pair agency that matches American families with international au pairs, today announced that Kathy Eckert a new area director in Charleston, has joined the team. Kathy is responsible for matching international au pairs with local host families in the Charleston Area, as well as providing ongoing support to the matched families and au pairs.

Au Pair Care area directors provide education and support to host families and au pairs, create monthly events, conduct in-home interviews with host families, and provide arrival orientation to new au pairs.
Kathy and her family have lived in Mount Pleasant for 20 years and she was the Editor and Publisher of the 3rd – 5th Editions of “Kids on the Go, The Charleston Area Guide to Great Places to Take Kids.” Kathy was President of a local chapter of Mothers and More networking organization. She was the Director of Public Relations for Benefitfocus.com and she has held various paid and volunteer positions at Coastal Christian Preparatory School where her children attended from pre-school through high school.
An au pair is a young adult from another country who lives with a family and provides in-home childcare services in exchange for room and board and a weekly stipend. Au pairs work up to 45 hours per week, offering a flexible schedule that can accommodate an individual family’s needs.
