Birds of Shem Creek

Today we got a reprieve from this week's wet and cold weather, and Mother Nature rewarded us with a beautiful morning on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant.

I captured this pelican soaking up a few rays on Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant Saturday morning. I plan on getting out and enjoying this weather, since there's a 30 percent chance for rain on Sunday.

The sun comes back on Monday, and we could have temperatures in the low 70s by the middle of the week. Ahh... South Carolina's balmy winters warm my heart (and my toes.)
