Multiple Breast Cancer Awareness Events this Weekend

The Holy City does a great job of promoting Breast Cancer Awareness, especially during the month of October. There are numerous events throughout the month that bring in lots of money for breast cancer charities and this weekend is no different with two big events scheduled.  "Koozies For Boobies" is Saturday, while "Rockers 4 Knockers" is on Sunday.

Wet Willie's on East Bay Street is hosting the 2nd Annual Koozies for Boobies Breast Cancer Awareness Party Saturday at 8 pm. The event is FREE, but 10% of all sales will go towards a breast cancer awareness charity. So if you show up, be sure to pick up some food and refreshing (and boozy!) slushy-style drinks.

There will also be raffle tickets available for a chance to win a $100 Wet Willie’s Gift Card. The drawing will take place at 10 pm and you must be present to win.

Meanwhile, the 2nd Annual Rockers 4 Knockers event is back and ready to rock out with you in the name of saving boobies! The shindig will take place on Shem Creek on Sunday. This year’s event will be a combination pub crawl/concert series featuring all of the Creek’s restaurants and numerous local bands.

The event will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Integrative Cancer Care. You can get advance tickets for $20 HERE, but they’ll run you $25 on the day of the event. Participants get a FREE T-shirt and access to drink specials with admission, plus a chance to win $100 in gift certificates.
