The Secret Place
Time is precious for all of us, but time with the Lord is the most precious.

Do you ever feel like running away? I do. Sometimes I have so many balls in the air and I just want to let all of them drop. I know some of you out there feel the same way at times. Sometimes I wish my life were more focused; that I could do one thing at a time or do one thing really well. But my life isn’t like that. I have the want to be a good wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, ministry leader, and teacher… balls all bouncing at the same time. When I feel like life is overwhelming I have to go to the Secret Place, the place where I recalibrate my thinking and focus on what the Lord is doing not what I am doing. The focus too easily shifts to my life rather than the life that the Lord wants to live through me. When He is in charge, I stress less and I focus on Him. That is the secret place; the place where I remind myself that He is the vine and I am only the branch. All of my nourishment and refreshment comes from time with Him.
Time
Time is precious for all of us, but time with the Lord is the most precious. When I start my day reading Scripture, praying and listening to His Voice, I easily toss all of my bouncing balls to God. Centering on Him gives me energy, hope, and order. There is an enemy out there who seeks to rob and steal your time. He wants to keep you so busy that time alone with God becomes nearly impossible. He tries to squeeze the life out of you– yes your life in Christ.
