This free concert is open to the public, and will feature traditional music from Ireland and Scotland. Three Celtic bands will perform: “Thistlin’ Dixie,” a local bagpipe troupe, “The Celtic Lassies,” an all-girl Celtic group with fiddle, Irish drum, flute, harp, and cello; and “VOXIE,” a harp and voice duo. This music advocacy project is run by Mount Pleasant Girl Scout Abby Kent to raise awareness to support live music and music education programs in Charleston.
