The East Cooper Crafter’s Guild (ECCG) will be hosting monthly craft shows at the Bi-Lo Palmetto Pavilion at 774 S. Shelmore Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant, to highlight and promote the work of local artisans. Each show will also feature the East Cooper Crafter Guild’s charity, HALOS, with opportunities to support its programs serving child victims of abuse from the local area.
When Bi-Lo Store Director Keri Hauffa was approached to partner with ECCG, she felt it was a natural fit for her store. Bi-Lo stores work closely with their local communities providing support in many different ways. “This is a great opportunity to promote the work of local artisans as well as help children in need,” said Ms. Hauffa. “We are excited to have the shows in our Pavilion.”

Barb Grant, the Show Chairperson for the East Cooper Crafter’s Guild established the Bi-Lo partnership with the help of Guild President Mary Taylor. The Guild also works with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on Isle of Palms the 2nd Saturday of each month. “We are truly a group of local crafters who look for local outlets to showcase our work,” said Ms. Grant. “We also wanted to give back by helping meet a local need,” she continued. “We began working with HALOS last year and believe strongly in their work to provide assistance to kinship care families and children who have been abused.”
