The annual Soccer Classic serves as the rotary club’s major fundraiser and kick-off to the high school soccer season. The Soccer Classic has become a Lowcountry tradition and allows the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club to provide:
- Lowcountry Food Bank with funds to fight childhood hunger through Backpack Buddies.
- Scholarships to local high school seniors and adults for continuing education.
- Free new shoes to local children through Happy Feet and dictionaries to all local 3rd grade students through our Dictionary Project.
- Financial assistance to other established local charities such as Meals on Wheels, East Cooper Community Outreach, Third Cup Charleston, as well as others that are serving our community.
- Support through Rotary International's multimillion-dollar efforts to eradicate polio and fund Alzheimer’s research.
