Who’s making it: Garnette Tuten and Jeremy DiAsio
How’s it made: Tuten and DiAsio find the highest-quality, organic herbs from across the globe. At their kitchen on James Island, the duo create unique spice and herb blends that compliment a variety of foods.
Where can you find it: Charleston Spice is sold at area farmers markets, icluding the downtown Marion Square market, the Mount Pleasant farmers market and the Summerville Farmers Market. The herbs are also for sale on the company website.
How much: Varieties sell for between $2.85 and $6 for a 1 oz. portion.
Charleston Spice founders had been looking for a food-related venture for sometime, and then they found a quaint spice shop in another city.

"We thought we could do this, and maybe even better," said Garnette Tuten. "Now we have roughly 90 varieties we've developed over the last three years."
