The decision to run for Mt. Pleasant Town Council was both an easy and a tough decision – it was easy because I believe in our community and I want to play a role in making sure the quality of life we all enjoy is maintained. But it was also hard because it might mean spending some time away from my family; however, I got into the race because I believe the future of my family and all residents of Mt. Pleasant is too important to sit on the sidelines.
I did not get into this race to profit and I did not get into this race for any personal glory. I got into this race because I love our community. My wife and I settled here over a decade ago because it was where we wanted to raise our three boys, and it is where we want to retire.
That is why I will not accept a salary as a member of the Mt. Pleasant Town Council should I earn your vote on Tuesday. This position is not about personal profit, it is about service… and I am running to serve you.
