The Town of Mount Pleasant is launching a campaign designed to encourage residents to spend their dollars within the community with a series of initiatives focusing on the benefits of shopping, dining, and doing business here in our town.
“The Shop Mount Pleasant Campaign is based on the simple but powerful premise that shopping local keeps our town unique, creates more jobs, and encourages local success,” said Business Development Coordinator Donna Merry.
“We hope to transform the Shop Mount Pleasant campaign into a movement and we invite you to shop locally this holiday season,” she added. “Why not challenge yourself to shop locally for more than half of your holiday shopping this year?

The Business Development Office is developing several initiatives that will allow owners to better showcase their businesses and residents and visitors to discover diverse shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities.

“Beginning in December, spend $20 on the 20th and be part of our new movement! Every dollar you invest in Mount Pleasant strengthens our local economy and supports our businesses,” said Merry. “Each month, local businesses will offer discounts on that day.
