At last night’s County Council meeting (September 7, 2021), Council voted to approve a partial framework for utilizing funding Horry County received as a part of the American Rescue Plan Act.

Some projects will be implemented immediately— including cyber security upgrades, improvements to our online payment system, and funding direct needs, like PPE.

The COVID-19 extra pay will be paid out to eligible employees on September 10, 2021.

The remainder of the funding and the framework for utilizing those funds will be discussed at the next meeting of the County Council Administration Committee on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2 p.m. (Meeting dates/times are subject to change, so be sure to keep an eye on our website for the latest information).
