Here are the top four stories in Myrtle Beach today:
- After Horry County bomb technicians announced that a device they were investigating was active and explosive, a Myrtle Beach woman is being held on over $1 million bond. Arrest warrants show Krystal Raven Jaworski, 33, faces multiple charges including possession of several types of drugs and possessing/manufacturing an explosive device for damage, injury or death. Officers said they found the device in a car that Jaworski occupied. She faced the same bomb-related charges in the past, but those charges were dropped. (WMBF)
- A man accused of exposing himself at a resort pool in North Myrtle Beach was arrested and booked at Long Detention Center on Sunday. The same day, he was released on $10,000 bond. Guests of the Harbourgate Resort & Marina reported the incident, which was caught on video. Police were called to the resort and the hotel's manager stated that he wanted to press charges against the man. (WBTW)
- Horry County Police were led on a 33-minute car chase earlier this week in the Conway and Loris areas. The suspect fled from police while they were speaking with a victim who claims the suspect fired shots and drove his vehicle towards them. While being chased by police, the suspect pointed a firearm out the window of his vehicle and shot at officers. The suspect crashed the vehicle he was driving on Butler Road in Loris and police arrested him for attempted murder, reckless driving, hit & run and other charges. (wpde.com)
- A Georgetown elementary school was put in lockdown briefly after a man fired a handgun at a vehicle on Thursday. Deputies say an armed man on a bicycle opened fire on a vehicle with people inside near West Virginia Road in Georgetown. The man was tracked to a relative's home and arrested. He is being held at Georgetown County Detention Center. No one was hurt. (WMBF)

About me: The best decision I ever made was relocating to the Myrtle Beach area from New England a few years ago, with my three dogs and three cats. I enjoy dogs, cats, road trips, photography, writing, vegetarian food, live music, bicycling and above all my daily walks on the beaches in and around the Grand Strand.
