Here are the top three stories today in Myrtle Beach:
- Just a reminder that road resurfacing begins today on North Ocean Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach. Milling and paving will be done between 2nd Avenue North and Shorehaven Drive. There will be lane closures from time to time. The project should take about 10 days to complete, weather permitting. (WBTW)
- The Harley Shop at the Beach held a community event for World Autism Awareness Day on Saturday. The shop, together with SOS Care, had its 4th annual Ride For Autism. Proceeds supported Project Lifesaver, a program that provides ankle monitors and bracelets for at-risk children with autism. (wpde.com)
- Dates have been announced for Military Appreciation Days, 2022, with all of the events happening during the month of May, except for the Veterans Day Ceremony happening on November 11. There is a great deal of military history in Myrtle Beach, because it was a military town beginning in the 1940s and 1950s, all the way through 1993. About me: The best decision I ever made was relocating to the Myrtle Beach area from New England a few years ago, with my three dogs and three cats. I enjoy dogs, cats, road trips, photography, writing, vegetarian food, live music, bicycling and above all my daily walks on the beaches in and around the Grand Strand.
