Here are the top three stories today in Myrtle Beach:
- Updating the weekend report of an officer-involved shooting in Georgetown, the coroner announced that a Myrtle Beach man died during that incident. The individual killed at the scene was identified as James Robert Frazier, Jr. He was 50 years old. Details of the incident have not yet been released. An autopsy will be conducted at MUSC. (WMBF)
- The owners of Indigo Farms in Little River, and the owner of Fox Farm, are trying to cope with inflation alongside other Grand Strand businesses. The price of fuel, chicken, animal feed, seeds, fertilizer and other supplies has doubled in some cases, forcing businesses and local farmers to reduce profit margins and find creative ways to work around the problem. (WBTW)
- The U.S. Postal Service is hosting job fairs this week in and around the Grand Strand. The department is seeking rural carriers and associates at a pay rate of $19.06 per hour. The job fairs are being held Wednesday, July 20 at Surfside Beach Post Office from noon to 5 p.m., Thursday July 21 at the Myrtle Beach Post Office, 501 N. Kings Highway from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, July 22 at the Conway Post Office at 2570 Main St from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (MyHorryNews.com)

About me: The best decision I ever made was relocating to the Myrtle Beach area from New England a few years ago, with my three dogs and three cats. I enjoy dogs, cats, road trips, photography, writing, vegetarian food, live music, bicycling and above all my daily walks on the beaches in and around the Grand Strand.
