Here are the top five stories today in Myrtle Beach:
- Updating a story from late last week, a person who was shot in Socastee at a car wash has died from their injuries, according to the deputy coroner. Tyshawn Smalls, 21, of Myrtle Beach was taken to the hospital with serious gunshot wounds and later died. Police are still looking for a vehicle connected with the shooting. (WBTW)
- Georgetown Police found skeletal remains while searching for a missing man on Sunday. The department was working with Community United Effort (CUE) in a search for Wesley Blake who was last seen in the area of Ridge Street on July 29. - Over 100 bikers took to the streets in a memorial ride honoring fallen officers McGarry and Hancher who were both killed in the line of duty on separate occasions. One motorcycle in the crowd had actually been owned by both officers! Officer McGarry originally owned the bike and sold it to Officer Hancher. Funds raised from the ride will be donated to the Officer Hancher Memorial Fund. (wpde.com)

About me: The best decision I ever made was relocating to the Myrtle Beach area from New England a few years ago, with my three dogs and three cats. I enjoy dogs, cats, road trips, photography, writing, vegetarian food, live music, bicycling and above all my daily walks on the beaches in and around the Grand Strand.
