We hope you all understand the slight pause in the Myrtle Beach Daily, and don't worry, we will be back to our normal schedule on Saturday morning! I'm including weather and events for Friday and Saturday in today's Daily, for your convenience.

Here are the top stories today in Myrtle Beach:

  1. Two early-morning shootings occurred in Myrtle Beach on Thanksgiving Eve. One person was injured by a gunshot at the Luxe Apartment complex in Market Common on Hadley Circle. The other incident occurred at Ocean Crest Inn and Suites on 6th Avenue South. Two were injured in that shooting, and there was gunfire damage to a building nearby. (WPDE) (WMBF)
  2. Trailer thefts may be the latest Grand Strand crime trend. Police are looking for suspects who stole a trailer from Redi Mix Road in Little River on November 9th. The thieves were driving a white Dodge 1500 pickup truck. They were caught on video by surveillance cameras at the gated property. (WBTW)
  3. Meanwhile, a Myrtle Beach businesswoman, Kim Starcher, is also looking for a trailer that was stolen from her business, Kim's Extreme Clean Pressure Washing Exterior Cleaning Service, on 44th Avenue North. Starcher's business has surveillance cameras all around the property. In the videos, he appears to be wearing a medical "boot" and walking with a crutch. The vehicle used to tow that trailer was a white SUV. In addition to the stolen trailer, Starcher reported that around $30,000 worth of property was also stolen from her parking area. She is offering a $2,000 reward. (WMBF)
  4. The line-up of performers scheduled for the 2022 Carolina Country Music Fest is growing! AMA award-winning entertainer, Gabby Barrett, has announced that she will be joining Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Chase Rice at the event scheduled for June 9-12. (WBTW)
  5. Placing blame on the supply chain, it was discovered that Publix and Winn Dixie have been limiting Thanksgiving staple items such as turkeys, bacon, cream cheese, jars of gravy, pie filling, and cans of cranberry sauce for the past week or so. The purchase limits have apparently not been seen at other area stores, such as Lowe's Foods, Boulineau's, or Food Lion. (WMBF)

About me: The best decision I ever made was relocating to the Myrtle Beach area from New England a few years ago, with my three dogs and three cats. I enjoy dogs, cats, road trips, photography, writing, vegetarian food, live music, bicycling and above all my daily walks on the beaches in and around the Grand Strand.
