Accused Pastor's Credentials Suspended

Facing allegations "forbidden by God," according to the S.C. Free Will Baptist State Association, Dale Richardson has had his credentials as a pastor suspended by his church's ordaining body. 

The Summerville pastor of Freedom Free Will Baptist of Ladson has been charged with a July 27 rape and kidnapping that . He has also been charged with a kidnapping in Summerville and a , similar in description to the church's mobile home that has been searched and linked to the July 27 incident.

The association announced this weekend that the executive committee and ordaining council "have decided to suspend the Rev. Richardson's credentials pending the final outcome of the investigation."

After last week's bond hearing in Dorchester County, where Richardson was denied bail, Dorchester County Sheriff Public Information Officer John Garrison said more charges are pending.
