Hi gentle reader. I am always worrying when I am thinking of starting something new. I may fret over it for days. Sometimes I even miss the time I should have done it. Does that sound familiar?
We can think up all kinds of things to prevent us from starting gentle reader.
When you start something new, I try to tell myself not to worry about doing it perfectly. In an Alzheimer's care club I belong to we have a craft hour. Some times in the beginning I worry that I can't do it. I've only and hour to do it in. But just starting and recognizing that adjustments will be needed to be made along the way helps me to get started. In other words gentle reader, Take action!
It's easier to take action when you don't expect perfection. Obstacles don't intimidate you and adjustments are seen as part of the learning process. I have brought many completed projects home that I had great doubts in the beginning. Expect those doubts and be ready to reach into your "tool bag" for a solution at any moment.
Action gentle reader, even imperfect action, will bring results, and eventually perfection may even follow when you do it again.
We, you and I, gentle reader, need to say to ourselves, as we face a challenge with doubts, say to ourselves I'm taking imperfect action.
