Alleged Rape Happened on Church Grounds

Ladson pastor Dale Richardson denied bond in Dorchester County.

The Ladson pastor accused of kidnappings and sexual assaults by three police departments in three incidents was denied bond today on his most recent charges of criminal sexual conduct first degree and kidnapping in Dorchester County. 

These charges are from a July 27 incident, which allegedly happened next door to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, where Dale Richardson is a pastor. 

Appearing at the Dorchester County Magistrates Court, Richardson, 46, made no comment on his charges other than to say he understood them. The courtdate was set for Oct. 27.

These charges were for the July 27 incident, . There are no further charges from a similar incident that occurred Aug. 12, 2010, . 

He was denied bond last week from charges from a June 21 incident that .

Dorchester County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Maj. John Garrison said more charges are pending.

The alleged July incident occurred at 119 Barnhill Road, next to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church and owned by the church, according to Garrison.

Garrison confirmed today that sheriff investigators executed a search warrant for the blue mobile home next door. 

In incident reports, the suspect allegedly brought two women to the mobile home, where he allegedly raped them and forced them to perform oral sex at gun point.

Current charges for Richardson include:

• Summerville: kidnapping, first degree assault and weapons violation for a June 21 incident.

• Dorchester County: two counts of criminal sexual conduct (more pending) for a July 27 incident.

• North Charleston: two counts of kidnapping and possession of a firearm for Aug. 12, 2010, and July 27 incidents.
