Ashley Ridge Hangs on for 29-25 Win

Swamp Foxes' Antonio McCall recovers Braves fumble for 97 yard return and touchdown.

Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes rushed, passed and recovered their way to a win last Friday against the Socastee Braves.

"We were able to show some resiliency," Coach Kenny Walker said. "We knew it was going to be a four-quarter game and that it would be battle to the end. Fortunately we were able to score and hold on for the win."   

At quarterback, Jacob Thomspon completed seven of 11 throws, sailing one in to Seam McKinney for a touchdown.

Thompson also picked up two more touchdowns rushing. 

A Socastee fumble led to a 97-yard return and touchdown by Ashley Ridge player Antonio McCall.

Ashley Ridge plays Stratford at home this Friday.

"Stratford will be well-coached and prepared. We will have to play a near perfect game to have a chance to win. It will be a good test to see where were our program is at this time," Walker said.
