Ashley Ridge, Summerville High Students 'Lead the Way'
Three Summerville area students were recognized during the statewide Project Lead the Way engineering competition.
Students from and  participated in the statewide Project Lead the Way engineering competition held at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Three earned awards.
Project Lead the Way is engineering curriculum that is offered in all three high schools in Dorchester County School District Two.
The District Two students did well in the state competition, earning the following awards:

- Sam Shakibanisab, Justyn Lodge, and Doug Sobers of Summerville High earned first place in Introduction to Engineering Design Team.
- Bryce Davis, Chandler Gonzales and Alex Wygant of Ashley Ridge earned third place in Introduction to Engineering Design Team.
- Nick Reynolds, Charlie Lewis, and Darius Baker of Summerville High earned third place in Digital Electronics Team.
