Ashley Ridge Loses 31-24 to Stratford

The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes suffered their first loss of the season Friday, as the Stratford Knights move to 3-0 with a 31-24 win. 

The Knights rushed for 114 yards and were 10-for-21 in passing, picking up another 133 yards, playing at the Swamp. 

While Ashley Ridge picked up more yards rushing (161) and rivaled Stratford for passing yards (132), the team didn't come out with a win.

Swamp Fox quarterback Jacob Thompson threw to Vernon Moree for a touchdown, and threw one interception of the night. Two Ashley Ridge touchdowns came from rushing by Romelo Doctor and Thompson. 

Swamp Fox kicker Dalton Robinson had a 33-yard field goal and was 3-for-3 on extra points.

Stratford takes on 2-1 Beaufort at home and Ashley Ridge takes on 3-0 West Ashley away this coming Friday.
