Blessing of the Animals

SUMMERVILLE--St. George's Episcopal Church, 9110

Dorchester Rd., will hold the St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals on

Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m.

There will be activities for youngsters and lunch will be

provided.  All animals are invited and prizes will be awarded.  There

will be water and treats for the pets.  All dogs must be leashed, and

all cats and smaller critters must be crated.

Adoption animals will be on site from the Summerville SPCA,

the Charleston Greyhound Society (rescue) dogs and owners will be

present, and there will be a police dog demonstration.

George's is located on Dorchester Road across from Kings Grant and

between Coosaw Creek and Wescott Plantation.  For further information
