Boeing Expansion Gets Aviation Authority Approval
Plan would include 320 acres, with the potential for more growth.

Boeing's plans to expand its North Charleston Dreamliner facility received approval Thursday from the Charleston Aviation Authority, according to several news reports, including WCSC, Live 5 News.Â
The decision begins talks on specifics of the sell. Once completed, it will mean the purchase of 320 acres, including the South Carolina Research Authority building on International Boulevard, along with an option to buy 488 more acres.
"Well I hope what it means is jobs, jobs and more jobs for the Charleston area", said Charleston Aviation Authority Chairman Chip Limehouse.
