Musings by Kaye: Fear
Isaiah tells us that the fear can grab us and cause you and I from trusting God.
Hi gentle reader. Today I want to tell you a story about fear and how it robs us of the strenght to serve our living God.
Peter in his second letter's first chapter and verse 4 wrote the following words. "God made great and marvelous promises, so that his nature would become part of us. And we could escape our evil desires corrupt influences of this world."
The story that I'm about to tell you happened in a certain place where there were a few sisters who usually ask at the beginning of of every year for a promise as to their annual report. one sister, dear gentle reader, was of the anxious type. I don't know about you, but I know that I certainly can relate to her in the anxious moments I have throughout the year and my life. You see the sister became frightened whenever she thought of the past and look forward to the future. she told the Lord of what was going on inside her. She told him of things happened in the past of all the fear in her life, and the fears that she had of the future. As a result she received a promise from the Lord, saying, " Fear them not, for I am with you be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."(Isa.41:10). The five "I's" talks about God and what He will do for each of us who believe. Notice also the 3 "wills",Which tells us also what, gentle reader, what God would do. As a result the poor woman fell to her knees, bow her head, in worship to God. She was moved to tears of joy by the assurance and the fullness of God and his personal message of encouragement. As a result, whenever she was faced with a difficulty or a temptation, she would read this word to herself and to God. As a result, gentle reader, She was strengthened, helped and sustained for many years.

I got out my Bible and I underlined the promises of our God. and put a reminder in the fly leaf so I would not forget God's promises when I feel at times confused and at a lost as to what to do.
So take heart gentle reader, and remember nothing happens by accident. When we are up to our eyeballs in alligators it's hard to remember we shoud have drained the swamp. We need to remember God is allways in control and has his hand on lives and what we can't do, He will.... according to his perfect will and plan for our lives.
