Musings by Kaye: Success

Hi gentle reader,

The other day I was thinking about my life. Some of you know that I have Alzheimer's and there is no cure. One strange things with Alzheimer's is you can recall things that happened years ago but have a hard time remembering this morning or yesterdays events. I often find that I want to use a certain word only to find I can't spell it. So then I think of a word that means the same and use that. thats the Alzheimer's at work in me. You see gentle reader, I can think I can spell the word but the computer tells me it's wrong. Yes, I know, there is a spell check program in my computer but I can beat that too which can make somethings interesting, especially when you try to read it back.

I started to feel sorry for myself until I recalled the verse in my devotional. It goes like this gentle reader: "Give and it will be given to you, A good measure, passed down, Shaken together and running over,will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." As I though about that verse and my passed events in my life I realized that my pass successes came from my believing I could do the task which was before me, but I had to take the first step,The give part, so God could help me complete the task, step by step with Him and gain the "overflowing lap of victory."

I can remember many jobs that I was involved in my working days, that I would take a job with no or very little idea how to do it and give it my best. Know what? Well gentle reader it was because I was willing to try to do the task and God helped me through to cross the finish line with success.

It's like a runner in a race everyone is at the starting point with their eyes on the goal. The ones who succeed and cross the finish line is because the keep the goal in front of them....the finish line.

Sure, I have Azheimer's but I am not going to let it keep me down moaning about how bad life is I am going to fight the good fight of faith till he calls me home. I have had cancer too, gentle reader but I vowed with God's help I would beat it. As a result, I have been cancer free for well over 5 years.

Success or failure is up to each of us, but when you have God as your partner no job or task is to great. Scripture tells us that God has a plan of blessing for each of us, but we have to believe in the plan before we can start the work. Satan doesn't want us to believe that we can be successful. but when we look to God and put our trust in Him gentle reader, we, you and I always come out a winner.
