Local Author S. B. Newman is the Newest Blogger with the Charleston-area Patches.
My name is S. B. Newman and I am a writer of military fiction, action, adventure novels. Just call me Steve.
My wife Brig and I have recently moved to North Charleston and we are very excited about living here. In conjunction with my writing, I am also an advocate for veterans. My efforts are focused on the Green Beret Foundation and their mission to raise awareness and funds to help Special Forces soldiers and their families in times of need.
In addition to writing novels, I try my hand at a little screen writing, and now, I have volunteered to become a blogger with Patch!

With the Patch, I hope to reach out to our audience with positive stories about the Summerville and Charleston area. Stories about the incredible people I run into on a weekly basis, or the interesting locations my wife drags me to on the weekends. She thinks I need to get out of my man cave more often.
The first novel I published is titled The Night Eagles Soared and the second one, which is in production now is titled Burnt Yellow and Red. I will be signing copies of my first book at the Local Market and Coffee Bar on Ashley River Road in West Ashley this Saturday, Oct. 15, from 1-3 pm. You are cordially invited to come on out, have a great cup of coffee and let’s get to know one another! Who knows; maybe you’ll be one of those interesting folks that make it into the blog next week!
