Shelby Daly and Fred Weeks January Athletes of the Month

Shelby Daly, Junior guard-Lady Swampfox basketball, and Fred Weeks, Senior forward-Swampfox basketball, are the Ashley Ridge High School Athletes of the Month for January!

When asked about Daly, Head Coach Chris Shaw stated:

Shelby Daly is[…]one of our captains for the Lady Swamp Foxes. She is averaging just over 10.4 pts a game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 2.7 steals per game and 4 assists per game. Shelby has had two games with 20 or more points this month [January]. In addition to being a great player, Shelby is an unbelievable person with a great work ethic. She also gets the job done in the classroom with an overall [B+] average amongst all of her classes.

About Weeks, Head Coach Brian Welch revealed:

Fred Weeks has been a member of our program since he was in the 8th grade. For the past 5 years he has been a shining representative of what AR Basketball is all about. He is a warrior on the court and one of the best teammates and leaders you could ask for. Most importantly Fred is a young man who is ready to compete in life[…]honestly, fairly and with responsibility.

Tonight is senior night at Ashley Ridge, 9800 Delemar Hwy, Summerville.  The varsity games start at around 6pm.  Ticket are $5.  Come out and support the seniors as they play their last regular season games in The Swamp.
