As many of you may know, I retired from the Army in 2003, after having spent a little over twenty years in the Green Berets. My last year in the Army was spent in Afghanistan and other parts of Central Asia. As a twenty year veteran of the Special Forces I have seen first hand the hardships endured by my fellow soldiers when they are wounded in both combat and in training. I have also witnessed first hand the difficulties the families of our fallen brothers go through when the reality of what has happened truly sinks in, especially at this time of year. That is why I support the Green Beret Foundation in all that they do.
So on behalf of the Green Beret Foundations’ Board of Directors, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. This has been a tremendous year for the both the foundation and those the foundation serves. In a shameless end of year appeal for support, I would ask that you do what you can to support this great organization. Donate, or just simply pass the word about the Green Beret Foundation to those you know. Perhaps, they are looking for a place to make an end of the year donation. Ask them please to consider the Green Beret Foundation!
Over the past year the foundation has gained literally hundreds and hundreds of individual and corporate supporters, but there's always room for more at the table. Quite simply, the more resources at the foundations disposal, the more the foundation can accomplish. The more it will be able to expand its’ services to the entire force.

Soon I hope to post a summary of the foundations activities for the year, and I think many of you will be very impressed, especially since the Green Beret Foundation has only been around since the Fall 2009.
Again, a safe and Merry Christmas to you and yours from everybody in the Green Beret Foundation family.
