'They Are Waiting:' A Look at Sculpture at The Ponds

Summerville might look like just a small town on the outskirts of Charleston, but we have a real love for the arts. When you travel around the town, you'll notice it in all sorts of locations, sometimes tucked away in unusual places.

Driving into The Ponds Tuesday, I drove past a nice little pond on the road coming into the community. There on the side of the pond are three 'figures' on a bench.

Stopping to look a little closer, it's a scuplture named "They Are Waiting" by Nnamdi Okonkwo. It's a wonderful piece of art, hidden in a Summerville neighborhood.
