Call Tip Leads to Meth Bust in Meadow Run

Maj. John Garrison with Dorchester County Sheriff said narcotics agents responded to a call tip Friday evening, alerting them to a suspected drug lab in the Meadow Run subdivision near Knightsville, off Orangeburg Road.

Executing a "knock-and-talk," where deputies just talk with the residents, they basically "walked into an active lab," Garrison said today. At the house, meth was allegedly being manufactured.

As of this morning, no arrests have been confirmed. But Garrison said to expect "multiple arrests." More details will be issued Monday, he said.

When asked if this type of activity happens often in Meadow Run or the surrounding area, Garrison responded:

"You never know where you're going to find something like this. We've had them in pretty much every neighborhood around here … there's no neighborhood thats immune to it."
