Citadel Cadets Earn Gold Stars

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, honored the following Summerville cadets for academic excellence during the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year.

The following students earned Gold Stars for achieving a 3.7 grade point average or higher:

• Aaron John Hansen, physical education major
• Danielle Renae Vincent, education social studies major
• James Charles Neal, history major
• Grant Arthur Williamson, business administration major

The Gold Stars are worn on the collars of the full dress and dress uniforms and above the right shirt pocket of the summer leave uniform.

Students who earn Gold Stars are also placed on the Dean's List, which recognizes students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester's work.

The following students achieved the Dean's List recognition:

• Spencer Benford Clower, political science major
• Aaron Jacob Lee, civil engineering major
• Joshua Thomas Milz, applied physics major
• Kyle Gary Smiley, civil engineering major
• Landon Marcus Graham, political science major
• Leon Jeremiah Buncum, business administration major
• James Legrand Inabnett Jr., physical education major
• Taylor Madison Sneed, history major
• Clayton Lenhart Thornton Jr., business administration major

The cadets were recognized Friday during a military dress parade.
