Cooke Crossroads Gets Morning Deputy
Dorchester County Councilman announces deputy presence at intersection of Highways 165 and 61 during weekday, morning traffic.
County Councilman Jay Byars announced Wednesday that a Dorchester County deputy will be on hand to help alleviate congestion and safety concerns at Cooke Crossroads, the intersection of Highway 165 and 61.
The deputy will be posted 6:30-7:30 a.m. on weekdays.
This is the result of council meeting with Principal Karen Radcliffee and L.C. Knight, Byars said in an email to constituents Wednesday.

"This is of particular interest to anyone living in Legend Oaks, or is a student or parent of a student at Ashely Ridge or ," Byars said.
