The General Educational Development (GED) exams are a group of five multiple-choice exams, along with an essay exam, designed to measure the general knowledge and thinking skills needed to receive a high school diploma.Â
At the Summerville site, the GED exams are offered three times every month. Â
Kornahrens urged those interested in taking the GED exams to first enroll in the Adult Education program to brush up on the needed skills to pass the exams on their first attempt.Â
"As you can see from the pass rate of our enrolled students, our instructional program is strong. It is apparent that we are bringing home the bacon when it comes to adequately preparing a student for the official GED exams," Kornahrens said.
"We only want our students to have to sit for those lengthy tests once."
