DCGOP Straw Poll Results
See who got the most votes at Thursday's Dorchester County Republican straw poll.
Dorchester County Republican Party held a straw poll Thursday among its candidates squaring off in the June 12 primary.
Here are the results:
- Incumbent Sheriff L.C. Knight beat challenger Mike Turner 149 to 49.
- House District 97 candidate Ed Carter beat fellow challenger Jordan Bryngelson 104 to 77.
- Senate District 38 challenger Sean Bennett beat incumbent Sen. Mike Rose 110 to 88.

Bennett will host Coffee with the Candidates April 19, Bryngelson will host May 17, and Carter will host May 31. The events are 4:30 p.m. Thursdays at . Rose will host April 30, which is a Monday.
