Dorchester Two Crime Blotter Dec. 12

These are briefs compiled from Dorchester County Sheriff Office and Summerville Police Department incident reports made involving Dorchester County School District Two schools.

  • After searching for a missing student Nov. 15 when her mother came to check her out early from school, Summerville Police charged the student with disrupting schools (since the search had disrupted classes and prevented on-time dismissal of students) and she was suspended. According to the incident report, the student had walked over to Wassamassaw Park across the street, but did not give a reason. 
  • A mother reported her daughter, a student, was allegedly assaulted on a school bus Nov. 17. The mother told the responding officer that she received a text from one of her daughter's friends saying the daughter had been in a fight. Alleged verbal abuse on the bus led to an alleged physical altercation later. The responding officer noted redness and swelling around the child's left cheek and forearm. 
  • A 12-year-old was arrested for disturbing school Nov. 17 at , after he allegedly kept running from school officials and ran into a classroom that was not his assigned classroom.
  • Two 13-year-olds required intervention for disruptive behavior Nov. 17 at Summerville High. The two were allegedly involved in a fist fight, and both were charged by Summerville Police for disrupting school. 
  • A mother reported her daughter, an Alston Middle student, was allegedly sexually assaulted by a classmate Nov. 21. According to the incident report, the suspect grabbed her crotch.
