Update: Woman Shot On Highway 78

Charleston County Sheriff deputies responded to the scene where a 25-year-old woman was shot early Thursday morning on Highway 78 in Ladson, according to Live 5 News.

The Post and Courier has reported the woman was shot while riding in a vehicle:

The woman was riding in a car with two other people when another car came alongside them and opened fire, sheriff's officials said. The person driving the car with the wounded woman inside dropped her off at Trident Medical Center

ABC News 4 reported Charleston County Sheriff deputies conducted an investigation that re-routed traffic on Highway 78.

Traffic driving toward Summerville was affected, the story reported.
