What better way to while away the hot afternoon hours than playing board games in air conditioned comfort? So, to help you have fun and stay cool this summer, we’re resuming Summer Afternoon Games at Here Be Books & Games. Admission is FREE. Come by yourself* or bring a friend or two along. Adults and kids 10 and up are welcome. (*Kids under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.) You don’t have know the games in order to join in on the fun. We’ll teach you how to play!
- Please call ahead, especially if you have a group of 3 or more players. This will help us know how many to expect, so we can set up the tables and chairs and choose games accordingly. We have limited space during the day: we have to keep the aisles open for visitors shopping our store. You can reach Tina at (843) 695-1498 Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.
- Arrive on time. Games begin shortly after 2 pm. When it looks like everyone is here, we choose games that will accommodate that number of players. Usually that means dividing the players into 2 or 3 groups. If you arrive late, games will already be in progress and it may be awhile before we can get you into a game.
- Please handle the games with care. Our game library is extensive - and expensive. Many of our games retail for $50 or more, making them expensive to replace.
- No food allowed. Sticky and/or greasy fingers have ruined many a game.
- Bottled drinks are available for purchase in the store. Please keep a lid on your drinks at all times.
