The Junior Service League of Summerville and Summerville D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Restoration, Enhancement and Management) will host the annual Ghostwalk and Harvest Moon Hayride on Saturday, October 29 from 6 to 9 pm in Historic Downtown Summerville.
This year’s JSL Ghostwalk will feature two separate routes, one family-friendly side catering to small children and less daring folks, and another slightly spookier route for the real thrill seekers! There will also be carnival-style games sponsored by local businesses with prizes for the kids. Some of these spooky and fun activities include a cupcake walk, apple jumping, pumpkin decorating, and MUCH more! The Harvest Moon Hayride, sponsored by Summerville D.R.E.A.M., will feature entertainment by Pat Watts, sponsored by Summerville Community Acupuncture, Way's Transport Inc., Coastal Coffee Roasters, Hearing Care of Summerville and FasTracKids.
Proceeds from the events will go to the JSL’s Dorchester District Two School Supply Emergency Fund. Hayride tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $3 each. Ghostwalk tickets are $4 in advance and $6 the day of the event. These can be purchased at In High Cotton, Aura Lee’s, Guerrin’s Pharmacy, Possibly Picasso, Sarah’s View, Gingersnaps, Dorchester Jewelers, and Perfectly Frank’s. You may also visit www.summervillejsl.com to purchase online, or for more event details and game sponsorship opportunities.
