Learn to Play Dixit and Telestrations: Designer Games of the Week at Here Be Books & Games
In Dixit, each turn one player is the storyteller, who secretly chooses a card from his hand and says a word or sentence to describe it. The other players give the storyteller a card from their hand that matches. The storyteller lays out the cards and the other players vote for the card they think is the storyteller’s. If no one or everyone guesses correctly, the storyteller receives 0 points. Players also score for correct guesses and votes received. 2010 Spiel Des Jahres Winner.
In Telestrations, all players sketch a word, then pass their sketch to the next player. Players guess what's been drawn, then pass their guess to the next player who must try to draw the word they see… The revelations of each word’s evolution are the true fun of this award-winning game. 2010 Golden Geek Best Party Game.

About the Game of the Week Series
The goal of our Game of the Week series is to introduce the community to Designer Games. To help accomplish this, each week we'll have the Game of the Week set up on a table in the front of the store so we can teach you how to play.
To encourage participation, we'll be giving away a game or expansion via drawing to a lucky participant of that week's gaming lessons.
You can participate and earn an entry in the week's drawing by either 1) requesting a demo of the Game of the Week, 2) letting us teach you how to play, or 3) playing the game at the store.
Please spread the word to help us make these events a success.
