A discussion on the pros and cons of school choice will be facilitated by internet talk show host Aisha Thurston. Sen. Larry Grooms (Moncks Corner) has been active in trying to get school choice legislation passed for many years; he sponsors the bill that will be voted on in this year’s session. Last year the bill failed in the House by one vote, which was cast by Rep. Jennie Horne.
