South Atlantic Conference President Officiates Ordination at Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church

Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church is pleased to welcome South Atlantic Conference President,  Elder William L. Winston, who is officiating at the ordination of Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses at Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  It is to be the first ordination of Deaconesses. The ordination will take place during a combined worship service of Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist and Saint Stephen Seventh-Day Adventist Churches.  


Candidates for ordination are as follows: Elder Dr. Barry Lorenzo Lee, MD, is being ordained as Head Elder, and Elder Hannah Walker Johnson, being ordained as an Elder for Summerville Seventh Day-Adventist Church.  Elder Karl Travis Williams is being ordained as an Elder for Saint Stephen Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Deacon Jonathan Bennett is being ordained as Head Deacon of Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Deacon Marvin Jefferson, Deacon Chad Dickens, Deacon Harvey White, and Deacon Kennth Rivers are being ordained as Deacons for Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Deaconess Theresa Jenkins is being ordained as the Head Deaconess, and Deaconess Carolyn Summers is being ordained as Assistant Head Deaconess for Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Deaconess Madlin Drayton, Deaconess Diana Temple, Deaconess Mina Levine, Deaconess Fannie Fields, Deaconess Juanita Fields, Deaconess Michelle China, Deaconess Annette Dickens, Deaconess Iris Cordes, Deaconess Virginia Singleton, and Deaconess Luvenia McCants are also being ordained as Deaconesses for Summerville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Deaconess Faith Gamble is being ordained as Head Deaconess for Saint Stephen Seventh-Day Adventist Church.  Deaconess Eva Walker and Deaconess Sylvia Myers-Williams are also being ordained as Deaconesses for Saint Stephen Seventh-Day Adventist Church. 


There will be a fellowship luncheon immediately following the service.  All are welcome to attend.
