Finalists Announced for Summerville's Got Talent

Summerville DREAM's Third Thursday event Summerville's Got Talent has selected eight finalists in two age categories for its finals 6 p.m. July 21.

Third Thursday is a monthly event inviting the community and beyond to partake in culture, food and more in historic downtown. Summerville's Got Talent is a take on the TV series "America's Got Talent" with a hometown appeal with more focus on music.

The finalists in the 16-and-over category are: Cody Mote, John Boggs V, Anthony Christian Gillis, Sarah Daniel, Zandrina Dunning, Dantrele Coleman, Kristi Mitchum and Patrick Watts.

The finalists in the 15-and-under category are: Anna Leigh Avant, Jacob Horton, Dane Anderson, Tyler Payne, Jerimiah King, Shayla D'Gregorio, Anna Noelle Kassing and Amanda Ellenberg.

All of the contestants have been notified via phone whether they made the cut or not.

The winner will be tallied from audience votes. The top three will then perform from third to first place.

The winner of the July 21 competition will be asked to perform an encore with a song of their choice.
